Saw this quote
"Antidepressants, tricyclic - Amphetamines may enhance the activity of tricyclic or sympathomimetic agents; d-amphetamine with desipramine or protriptyline and possibly other tricyclics cause striking and sustained increases in the concentration of d-amphetamine in the brain; cardiovascular effects can be potentiated"
Does anyone have any clue as to the process that causes the above to happen? Seems to be saying that amphetamine potentiates certain tricyclics and in return d-amphetamine levels are raised in the brain.
Any ideas? I know some think tcas my be nmda antagonists and that can prevent stimulant tolerance. Any connection?

Prozac increases d-amphetamine's effect's, i do not know why. I would think Wellbutrin would be boosted. I took Wellbutrin while taking adderall xr, it was good it leveled the mood out a bit.

Check they don't compete for the same enzyme.

I called shire. The person I spoke to seemed to think they competed for the same enzyme.
