Ok - I could feel this coming for a while, but this morning I totally lost it. I flew into a screaming rage - and it kinda felt good. Which is bad.
The Abilify has taken away my depression and given me rage! Great! I don't know if this is a symptom of akathesia as the nurse says I have, but I can't do it anymore. I am sick of the constant shaky feeling inside, and the lack of control over my emotions (cry easily, hyper sex drive, rage).
Since it is Saturday and I can't call the doctor until 9:30 Monday morning, I poped a .25 Risperdal (sample pack I had left over from a fewe years ago).
Xanax and Klonopin do not help these out of control feelings I have. I can't walk around this wound up.
I wish I could get that happy, eurphoric feeling I had on 10 mg of Lexapro without the bladder issues.
I wonder if I could take 5 mg of Lexapro without the ouch.

I just stopped Abilify too to augment Cymbalta. It only increased my anxiety and made me feel as if EVERYONE was out to "get me". Remeron is next....

I tried Abilify for a few minutes (days)-- with Cymbalta. That might be a bad combo-- because I got akathesia like symptoms.
Maybe it's better with non-activating ADs--
But TrishP, did the nurse give you any suggestions about how to counteract the akathesia-- if not, how about trying a pdoc?
But I totally understand if you can't keep going with it-- that's really wrenching syndrome.

Sorry to hear that. The med shuffle is horrible for the most part. Good luck with the next med...
