I thought DBT didn't require that you turn your mind from a thought? Just that you observe the thought instead of being upset by it, which seems to be the opposite of trying to turn your thoughts from it?

I could be wrong, but in my mind I associate that more with CBT.

There's nothing that makes a thought stick in my mind more than trying to turn my mind from something...
