What would my t say?

Posted by annierose on September 7, 2007, at 17:44:36

My therapist had surgery today (elective/minor) so I didn't get a chance to run this thought by her this morning ...

This evening is our elementary school Ice Cream Social Event. Having two children - spaced 5 years apart - I have been attending these ditties for 9 years. I do not like 90% of the parents at this school. It's painful to pretend to say "hi" and chit chat about meaningless stuff --- more so than with society at large.

Question: Is this progress or back-sliding? I decided I do not have to go anymore. I stayed at home (yea me!) and sent my husband to escourt our son.

I'm happy to be home but wondering the above question. I used to go but hated every minute of it. The moms are so catty, so mean, so tightly wound up. My husband gets it, and sees how they treat me, so he didn't mind.
