Outline update

Posted by Gee on October 31, 2007, at 12:11:14

So, I made an outline for my last paper. It made writing it so much easier because I stopped and thought it through before starting. I used Daisy's pointers for creating 3 points for every main, and submain point (does that make sense?) Now, I'm just waiting to get it back!

Good job! I'm glad the outline helped. Was that Daisy's advice on the three points, or mine? I know I offered that advice, since that's what I do...

Regardless, I'm glad it helped, and I hope you did well.

It helped!!!

I got my paper back today, and I got a B/B+ on it! Thanks for your suggestions!!!

Now, any other suggestions for paper writing? My biggest problem seems to be that I'm not discussing the right stuff enough. How do you determine what's important to discuss and what's not as important?

That part is harder. It helps to have someone else, who is not familiar with the subject, read it over, but if that's not possible -- well, you've brought up something I sometimes struggle with, too, so I'm not sure I can help much.

I'll think on it, though, and post again if I ever feel any better. (Bad patch -- severe depression and meds change going on. Makes it hard to communicate.)

Racer,
I'm sorry you're going through a hard patch. Thanks for your earlier advice. It made so much difference in my writing.
