Speaking of Tests

Posted by Poet on July 21, 2007, at 16:46:00

I am barely getting a B in my class. I study and actually stay awake in class and others fall asleep, claim not the read the book and get better grades. I know this is my last class, but I got As or A minuses in the other five classes and I wanted to go out with my head held high.

I have four more tests to go and maybe if I get 100 percent right I can get a B+. I just want to sit and cry.

I think I would cry too. I would be fruterated beyond all means. Do you have any idea on why you are not getting an A?

Okay, now this is a "think as I say, not as I think". When it comes to the end, does it really matter in the real world on your grades?
I know undergrad grades are very important in getting into a certain Phd. programs. But isnt' this your last class for the degree? Most jobs don't even care what grades you got, just so you have the degree. I guess that is where, where you got your final degree would be important on the job interview, but your actually grades probably don't matter as much.

It seems you have plenty of chances to make up your grade, providing it wasn't really low and still get an A.

Hi Slugdoo,

The rational part of me understands that no one will ask to see my grades and that a B is a decent grade. It's the "damn it my T finally got me to stop saying 'I'm fat, ugly and stupid'" and here I get a B which means I am fat, ugly and stupid.

I am glad that this class is the final one for my certificate. I wish I had gone out with all As, but I didn't unless the instructor missgrades my last test and then maybe... Sigh.

Thanks for understanding. I still feel like crying.
