Thinking of taking the Fall term off

Posted by Happyflower on June 16, 2007, at 7:19:54

I have a ton of stuff to do around the house, painting, etc. that I was thinking of taking off some time off school while I have the money to do the changes. Or should I take one class in order not to forget how much I like school, and it helps me stay focused?
It is so hard to decide!

Hi Happyflower,

I'm from the school (pun intended) of getting my classes over with as quickly as possible so I would take one class, but that is me.

I got my bachelor's degree in four years with the exact number of credits needed. I got my writing certificate in one year and I am going to finish my paralegal certificate in July and I started in June 2006. Hmm, think I'm a bit obsessive? Maybe I should talk to my T about that, wait, I think she might already know.

Anyway, enough about me, is there any class that is only offered in Fall? Then you might want to take it, but not take anything else until Spring. Just a thought.

Hi Poet,

I am really stuggling with this and am going in circles about it, so I think I will wait awhile before I deceide. I do think I will at least take one class, just to keep in the frame of mind of school. Plus I think it is good for me too.
I just wish my life didn't seem so up in the air right now

Hi Poet,

I think I will probably go full steam ahead, I have had some wonderful offers a few weeks ago for an internship and other stuff. I will try to do as much as I can concidering I have my kids to think about too.
The money from the internship would be plenty to live on with child support, so maybe I will make a few life changes along the way too. It feels good to be rewarded with all hard work I have put in. My house projects can wait. Then mabye I will have enought money to hire someone else to do it. LOL

Hi Happyflower,

A paid internship is fantastic. I wouldn't pass that up, either. Besides, home improvement projects can wait, it took me four years to get to painting some woodwork and beams that when I first looked at the house I said *that has to go.* Well, four years later I had the time and it went. Now, if I could only find time to plant some flowers I got the other day. I have a test tomorrow and so I have to study like mad to get that much needed A.

p.s. my class is boring. I don't want a B for boring, I want an A for Anxiety!

Good luck on getting an A, I know you can do it! :-)

I have a ton of flowers to plant that I have bought. I am redoing our Koi pond, and I have deceided to get the entire back yard done. Hundreds of flowers! I bought 12 kinds of groundcover to put around the edge of the pond, so it will grow over the stones. I got a Japaneese Maple that weeps over the pond, and the relection in the water is so heavenly. I am looking for a flat of foam flowers to plant they are so beautiful in the spring. Gotta love summer and the best part for me is nooooooooooooooooooooo studying.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
