goals

Posted by alexandra_k on May 10, 2021, at 23:59:30

So...

I enroll in a (the) correspondance school of NZ.

I tell them my goals. My goals are to be competitive (aka viable) for application to US Universities.

The advise / support they offer me...

Only comes in the form of 'you must complete 1 teaching marked assignement per month otherwise the New Zealand Government won't pay us to have you on our pay-roll. We understand you paid us $110 (or similar) per course. But that means nothing to us. We really need / want / operate on the basis of the government payment which will only come if you submit one TMA (teaching marked assignment) per month. Otherwise we won't get government payment for you therefore we will remove you from our roll.'

Would you like to business with New Zealand?

Is it POSSIBLE to do business with New Zealand?

We seem to believe there is this distinction between 'good business' and 'bad business' (aka 'business for the likes of you'). But we don't know what it meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeans to do business. Aka: Not even worth trying. The opportunity cost of simply...

Passover.

Passing y'over.

Not even possible to do business with the likes of you. Opportunity cost of wasting the time....

ffs

the building on the very very very left of the very very very start is... my building.

of course i am 'inward facing' (aka carpark facing) rather than 'outward' (harbour) facing. but that fact is less than 1 block. i appreciate that...

the problem i have...

is that their goal... is an epiphenomenon of my goal. that is to say... if things were progressing towards my goal, then their goal would be met. par for the course.

and their job is to... help me with my goal.

they help other people with their goals. apparently. they have a lot of people enrolled with them for a diversity of reasons. they reckon. a diversity. people with minimal expectations of getting x number of literacy credits so they can become police or... you know. that kind of thing...

they pay them money... they jump through whatever hoops. they get credits. they get a job. they get paid.

yay. what life is about.

jumping through whatever hoops: and getting paid.

what's the alternative?

don't pay her, then.

don't pay her.

so then she can die in a toxic mouldy house hahahahhahhahahahahha that'll teach her.

that life is about

getting paid.

they pay me they pay me they pay me they pay me they pay me they pay me

is all they can say.

they pay me they pay me they pay me they pay me they pay me.

and, of course: they don't pay me.

i'm the chump who is forced to work for free...

apparently the amount of legal work that i have generated... the people with the money in nz (the universities)... being required to hire lawyers... the amount of legal work that i have generated... and the courts... keeping them busy. apparently.

for the obvious injustices that they refuse to acknowledge. because they find in favor of who pays them.

what a f*ck*ng farce

and the point is to teach me that it's all about hoops.

you jump through the hoops: and you get paid.

and it's all about jumping through the hoops. so that you get paid.

and employment is like that / about that, too. jumping through the hoops and getting paid.

i'm sure the chief executive managers of the administration head honchos of the managerial administration mighty gods jump through all the hoops when they ensure their job is not done. not done by them. mostly in order to prevent their job from being done by anyone.

the ombudsman... whose job appears to be to ensure there are no unannounced inspections. and whatever inspections that are done he never writes up properly all the crimes against humanity that he sees. the repeated insistance on refusing to comply with human rights.

on my health file notes there is a note in the corner. know what it says: 'use of force'. it is written on my file notes, there, like a prescription.

it appears to mean that if i present to the health system then they beleive they are justified. entitled. to use force against me. that's why in my last admission they were keen to get 'psychiatry' (so called, in name only) out to sign papers to have me involuntarily detained against my will. why they were so keen to make a big production of stationing guards outside my seclusion cell to physically force me to stay there (in violation of my right to see a lawyer or phone police to inform them i was being involuntarily detained) etc... why they beleive they are entitled.

they believe they are entitled
they believe they are entitled
they believe they are entitled

i have a couple nieces who work in the hospital. various aspects of care. they say:

the system is abusive.

by which they seem to mean... they were abused during their training there. they were abused by other staff. they were required to abuse patients.

to get paid. y'know?

they pay them
they pay them
they pay them
they pay them
they pay them

they will only abuse me.

i don't want to join them.

despite them.

not because of them.

i am losing my desire to help people.

i suppose that is the point.

they want to knock that out of me.

see see see see see see see you are an abuser of people just like me
see see see see see?

they pay tehm
they pay them
they pay them
they pay them
they pay them

the government pays them

the government chooses them

to train them
to pay them

to abuse others

to be paid to ensure their job is not done
is not done by them
is not done by anyone.

where is my money, new zealand?

they are taking the qualifications they gave me back

some kind of lesson

some kind of lesson to me...

that the entire thing is meaningless.

the only thing that matters..

is they pay tehm they pay them they pay them they pay them they pay them they pay them they pay them

the younger they are... the closer the memory of being a completely helpless infant in the face of a world that requires them to have their big big big eyes and do everything they can to... invoke... awwwww caretaking behavior. because it doesn't matter how much you pay someone to do a job of looking after... it doesn't matter. the frontal lobe portion of the brain and it's connection to higher things no work-y. the younger they are and the more... aware they are that they are powerless in the face of people with all the power... people who they pay. they pay them they pay them they pay them they pay them they pay them. and you huddle in with a herd of others and you keep your head down and there's progression for the herd until you grow up into one of them.

shudder.

is how the money goes around.

or...

how it doesn't.

how new zealand falls further and further and further and further and further and further behind.

apparently this year is the very very first year that something very in particular is going to happen.

usually... students would submit a piece of work for internal assessment... and the teachers could say that this or that bit needed some work to be tidied up. so they could redo it. and get it back to them. and in that way they could get an excellence grade for that piece of assessment. and of course in actual physical schools the kids would do the work as a group. or the kids would get a kid who handed their work in and received their excellence grade and use that as a check before they submitted their own work to ensure that they would get that grade to.

but the year that i enrol is the very very very very first year ever that apparently you only get to submit something once for excellence. otherwise it's only pass- or fail.

and apparently there are lots and lots and lots of students enrolled in the correspondance school of new zealand. lots of them. and not just primary kids. adults too.

so... uh... where are they, then?

why won't we have (at least one) actual class per week? that is to say why haven't i had the opportunity to meet so much as ONE other student enrolled in my level course in physics or chemistry or....

occasionally there is an online thing... but only 1 or 2 other studnets...

they aren't well advertised.

they appear to be 'invitation only' sort of events. actually...

i suppose if they don't isolate me from others then we would check each other's work... and that wouldn't work for the whole

teaching her a lesson.

it's all about sucking up to us. sucking up to us. sucking up to us. from a position of helplessness. sucking up to us. sucking up to us...

so apparently i need to hand in once piece of work per month or they will remove me from the roll.

that is to say they will prevent me from sitting external examinations.

handing in pieces of work to them...

is the work helping me prepare for the external examinations?

or is it busy-work they have created in order to...

well...

sucking up to them sucking up to them sucking up to them

a hoop to jump through

to be paid

so i can say they pay me they pay me they pay me

to ensure my job is never done. not by me and not by anyone.

new zealand: it's not working
