too many leaders

Posted by alexandra_k on February 10, 2020, at 23:24:34

Everybody wants to be a leader in NZ. Because leadership is all about having all the money and all the power and none of the responsibility.
People don't have the cognitive capacity to grasp that leadership is about having duty of care.
They don't have the cognitive capacity to grasp duty of care.
They don't have the capacity to grasp 'informed consent'.
They don't have the capacity to grasp 'informed' (as opposed to manipulated into)
They don't have the capacity to grasp 'consent' (as opposed to forced)

We don't have many rules.
The rules we do have we don't enforce.
The 'unofficial rules' or the 'culture' is one of fearmongering and oppression.
We artificially construct things to be like that.
For example, we artificially crowd things.
If a lecture theatre has 4 entry / exit points we will close off 3 of them to create and artificial bottleneck or funnel to crowd things artificially.
We will timetable / schedule things so they are maximally crowded (and schedules will prevent people seeing that the majority of the time things are actually empty).
We will put 'art' about that place that is a shameless expression of power -- just because we can!

We won't spend government money on any of the things that we are supposed to to ratify anything.
We won't spend money on an Ombudsman to look into whether government agencies / employees are following their rules / regulations.
We won't employ competent queens council to prosecute and recover mis-spent government funds.
We won't do any of the things that we are supposed to do...
In order to fund our next pay increase.

And we will constantly cry 'poor poor poor us' on the world stage.

We will offer to supply milk powder to China.
We will not do the things we are supposed to do.
We will try and push up prices push up prices push up prices by way of spiking the product with contaminants. Not caring if they are toxic.
We will try and sell ESL qualifications. Promise to teach people to speak English.
Enrol them in University courses where the lecturers teach them nonsense and don't grade their work properly and pretend that the problem is that their English isn't good enough.

Coronavirus...

Much of the China investment seems to be withdrawing from NZ.

NZ did not support Hong Kong's independence.
The NZ Government did not support 'rule of law'.
They supported 'might is right'.

They don't want our dairy.
Less international students.

I don't know if that means less undergraduates or graduates or what.

Maybe they looked into completions.

We didn't offer them suitable accommodation -- where they could voluntarily self-isolate if they were sick.

So...

I understand that good people cannot do business with us...

But our good people need to be able to get out.

It's partly a tribal thing.
Maaori were never unified as Maaori
They always were a tribe here and a tribe there and another tribe over there
They always were squabbling and fighting between and amongst themselves.
That's why they sold tracts of land in exchange for muskets that they used to shoot on each other for.

And, still, in a country with as many people as Sydney or the entire State of North Carolina, we don't have a national health system.
We have a tribal system of 11 (or so) district health boards up and down the country.
Who are supposed to use their money to purchase goods and services for their region.
Who can only agree that everyone on the board shall have a consdierable pay increase...
And agree that we can't afford to hire doctors...
Nurses...
Cleaners...
We can't afford to run hospitals...
We can't afford to run that operating theatre...
Just close all of the things down...
To fund our next conference in Hawaii...
Where we can pat ourselves on the back for the great land purchase of hundreds and thousands of government dollars that we just paid to ourselves so we can have meeting after meeting after meeting after meeting...
About the new hospital...
Which will likely never be built...
Because the money will be spent on meetings.

Up and down the country.

And each school shall have a board of trustees whose job it is to look after the buildings and hire the teachers and to provide things like libraries...

And just everywhere and all over the people do not do that which it is their job to do. They just act to profit themselves. And tehy squabble and they bicker amongst themselves...

We don't have school lunches.

We do have too many kids. The government intentionally advertised having kids was what they wanted to see beneficiaries doing. Pictures of kids.

We don't have classrooms enough to house them in. We have maybe 30 or 32 to a class. There is no way a teacher can teach 30 or 32 kids in a class to read, write, do arithmetic when they didn't have breakfast and when the breakfast they did have is additives and preservatives...

No matter.

We don't value reading, writing, arithmetic.

They can watch youtube videos and people will tell them everything they need to know.

Mostly, that life is just a squabble to steal all of the stuff.

We don't produce anything.

I went to court and there was this court case and everyone was chillaxed like they could spend the rest of the lives doing what they were doing...

It was an appeal of the Tribunal, I guess. In other words, the government gave a bunch of money to a... Trust... A tibe. To be kept in trust. For reparation for past wrong or whatever. And so then, of course, everyone starts squabbling and bickering and in-fighting about what to do with the money.

I mean, the first thing is clear, you are going to need to appoint some people... To look after the money and to decide what to do with it. These people should be paid for their time. They are like, chief executives of the money, or whatever. SO they take their salaries. They have their cut.

But then other people want in.

And you have an 'oral people' apparently. So everybody spends their life engaging in politiking. Sucking up to the 'in' people and trying to get 'in' with the 'in' people. And then they say 'okay, you are in' and other people are 'out' because they werent' sucking up enough...

And sometimes people have hair brained schemes of what to do with the money.

ANd it seems to be the rule (rather than the exception) that they end up doing dodgey business and being screwed over. That's usually the way of it.

Anyway... Teh court case might have been about responsibility, or something. For some stupid business decision that some people made on behalf of the group when they didn't have the authority to do that... BEcause the in list (of beneficiaries) is official and you have to apply to change it. But they didn't seem to know that. And it takes time and money to change the list (to prevent people being too flippant about who is in and who is out)...

And the point is that it is just a big rabble.

A big rabble..

And these people are invested in keeping the rabble as rabble.

And collecting their salaries year after year after year....

ANd the bulk of the capital is spent on lawyers fees, I guess.

Paying for the judge to hear the case... To wax about what she might say if the law was this or that way or if the tribe had done this or that instead...

And you go...

All of that would be just fine... But there's people in that tribe who would like to be able to get on with doing somethign that would actually contribute to the development of NZ for the people of NZ. But they're likely starving in a classroom without a teacher (nobody who cares about teaching can function as a teacher in NZ)...

And the people in charge really don't seem to notice. Or care.
