I checked into a 'less meds' 'more therapy' clinic

Posted by Lamdage22 on November 26, 2017, at 10:45:11

Hey yall,

i have been somewhat down lately and i checked into a very special place. I managed to make a deal with the local psychiatrist to not change my meds.

The emphasis here lies on actively working to get better as opposed to lying in bed and waiting for pills to work.

I will keep yall updated.

I hope you are making progress.

i'm glad to hear....therapy can make emotions and understand them, also suggest you getting a notebook or a spiral, or even a PC to save your work, you use your own mind to write what to change, and use it as a check list, i've been at this for a while, i've torn some sheets out because i just blabbered with no substance to follow through, if your in the mood, with therapy your going too, and keeping a self-created journal of your own aspirations and goals, and keep it, don't get tired of it. Drink coffee while your doing it, it get your small kick to keep writing your planned goals, you can become someone new everyday, so make that plan

Almost everyone is writing a journal here. Today i talked about my fear of heights in the group setting. I also suffer somewhat from what psychiatrists would call social anxiety/phobia.

So this is big for me. I had the balls to come here and do this work and i had the balls to open up to the group. They are very supportive.

I am planning to stay until end of January.

Its been a while since i wrote a journal. I think its worth a try. They encourage that here. Also cute the room 130 people wrote how they all benefitted from the therapy. This is a really good place.

I wish i could recommend a place like this to you guys in the US.

Sounds really good, and I'd love updates when you feel like it.

Journal writing can be really helpful though daunting for some. Congratulations on getting yourself in!

More pugs not drugs as they say.
