5150 in the dorm

Posted by Lamdage22 on December 18, 2016, at 4:53:47

So on Thursday a female roommate just completely flipped out. It is the 3rd time the police and paramedics were here for her. She thought that the holocaust was still up to date and everyone except her were nazis. She was screaming. Among other things one roommate heard her scream "i will kill you".

So now she is on a involuntary psychiatric hold until tuesday. On tuesday she will speak to the senior physician.

Everyone in the dorm was very frightened. Especially our most vulnerable small woman. We just want to live our lives without disturbance but it is threatened by the craziness that this woman brings into the dorm. We are scared she will be back on tuesday.

We have no idea wether she takes medication that makes it worse or if she just plain and simple stopped taking antipsychotics that day. No idea. We just know that if she is back on tuesday it will likely repeat.

Legally it seems we cant do anything. She will likely keep her room until February 28th. She may even be able to sue so she can stay. I hope she doesnt know that.

I was very frightened on thursday and needed to take Ambien.

If she is not a threat to herself or others the hospital cant keep her. And frankly i dont think they want to keep her.

that sounds scary. I bet she was plenty scared, but scared can be catchy.
