Ugh, my parents are crazy! LOL Especially my Dad.
My Dad insists that if I sleep with the fan directed at me I will die. He comes into my room unannounced and switches my electric fan to move around instead of blow directly at me.
He is not kidding! He truly believes I will die if I sleep with the fan pointed at me. My Mom says she doesn't know for sure whether or not it is true, but that is what they said in China.
I think it is just ludicrous!
We have no air conditioning at my house and we are experiencing a heat wave right now. It is very annoying when my Dad just comes into my room and switches my fan to move around!
Has anyone ever heard of this myth before? What do you think of it?

wow...i have never heard of this...but i did find it on wikipedia - it is described as an urban legend. Some reasons given for possible "death by electric fan" are refuted by laws of physics or contradictory to each other.
I'm pretty sure it's not real.
Sorry about your parents...can you lock the door or something?

Awww..he is showing his love and caring. He really believes it and doesn't want anything to happen to you. I know it's annoying..he probably can't sleep knowing the fan is directly blowing on you. Grin and bear it and hope the heat wave passes!
