Yes PhytoEstrogen. You'll just have to stand in the corner alone and you can't have any drinks with everyone. : )
If you look across the room I'll be in the other corner.

I never knew how to be social and I post here. So you certainly can.

Best way to relearn your old ways. You'll find yourself fitting into them like an old glove.

I, too, struggle, with this. I thought I actually knew my way around but everytime I tried to post anything, the buttons didn't work. Stranger still, nothing worked until I arrived here. (no kidding)

I've been drunk and maybe even a little crazy (not psychotic but I'm not the best opinion I suppose) and I'm even starting to sound like a cranky Jimmy Stewart, but never, have I experienced this kind of blackout where nothing works. (probably normal for Jim babe - how he flew planes I'll never know)

I've never known how to be social yet I've always been "charming" in a kind of "please-like-me", and "keep your distance" kind of way.

I have empathy that won't stop in real life but have a hard time relating online. It just doesn't seem real.

In real life, I would just love somebody all the time (not anything like the movie, "Fatal Attraction") I just mean, I'd love someone without being possessive or getting crazy about it.

Enough with the advertisement. Isn't that what we really do - put ourselves in the best light and put the best spin on it? How exhausting!

Still thinking about contacting the former "girlfriend" through classmates.com. (after 8 years of searching she turned up as "registered") Probably married since her name drops from every search 15 years ago. She only popped up now (no mistake) at that one site.

Meanwhile, my daughter and her hubby are moving into a house they bought and I dream about escaping Iowa.

i jsut recently regestered at classmates dot com too. to find otu about my 10 year (oh dear, i'm that age! my wonderful thirties are coming up!!!!!) reuinion. i had no love interests in high school, though after returning during summer break from college there was a boy (yeah, he was a boy) i used to make out with. i recently saw him on match dot com (hey, they said it was ok to look, so mr kk and i decided to look. it seemed odd to see him on match, sicne he seemed destined to marry his high school sweetheart, even thoguh they did date off and on. still, that's strange too...)

anyway, i think babble gets a pretty accurate view of me. it sees my meltdowns, weaknesses, strengths (ok, mostly strengths, as i am mostly full of good parts and not bad. you do pick up on sarcasm, via computer, right?), wickedness, oddities and about everything else.

verne, you seem to be a nice person. i'm interested in knowing more about you. i sincerely want you to be happy (not fluffy wuffy emoticons or whatever they are called).

verne, oh verne
how is your garden growing?
is it flooding
or overflwoing
with buds of spring in tow?

verne, you worm (trust me, it's endearing, my last name is one of a worm.)
you better not squirm
out of a fair reply
because my time
i've spent on line
to you can't be denied

verne, you sweetie
don't slink away
for a reply
i must hear today

if you find you're not up to it
i understand
and will make a plan
to get you to talking again

take care of yourself verne
i'm not advertising.
i'm not for sale.
i'm free!

just for the record, my drink of choice contains a squeeze of lime and an ice cube and no alcohol. other than that I'm not picky.

I try to stay away from guys who come to parties with weedeaters. OH!!!! THAT kind of WEED.

I still don't get it

*dense*

PhytoEstrogen..Well, I went {{{{{manic}}}}} a few years back and it manifested itself in the form of yard work. Not just mine, the neighbors too. They didn't even have to ask.

I ate weeds left, I ate them right, I ate them by day, and ate them by night. No weed was safe when I was in sight. I had 6 extension cords all knotted together--I ate in the sunlight, I ate in bad weather. Weeds were packing up, they were movin on--cause I was a human weedeater drone.
I'm out of string!! F***CK!!!

I went to the store, they said they couldn't sell. They said I needed rehab, now how could they tell?
I said just a few feet to get that corner area. My pupils were dilated-it was a fit of hysteria.
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO...AH-HAHAHAHAAAAAAA. WHOOPIE!

sooo, the doctor said here's a mood stabilizer
You've turned yourself into a dreaded weed-izer
It took away my highs and some of the lows
Now I just sits and watch the weeds grow.

Some days I linger--I want off the meds
To regain the glory of whacking weed heads
I could have been the greatest, it was plain to see
Maybe in my next life if hell has weeds.

My weedie eater out the front
lies friendless and forlorn
recalled with mounting feelings of concern
by him who inside lurks .
