Did anyone see the movie The Holidays?

Posted by Kath on January 8, 2007, at 13:31:07

My husband & I actually went to the movies yesterday & saw it. I liked it. It was sorta predictable, but I liked it anyway.

I was amazed that Carmen Diaz (sp?) was able to RUN in the snow with those highhhhh heels on without spinning out of control & crashing!!!

Any good movie suggestions? We watch a lot of DVD's at home.

Kath

PS - anyone see The Lady in the Water (I think it was called) - sort of an interesting movie with partly fantasy stuff. Based on a bedtime story the writer/director made up for his kids!

Yeah! come to think of it I did!!!!! And I sort of didn't like it, but didn't even realize it until you just mentioned it.

Hey - I think the boob-graze might have been NOT in the script. What do you think? Even the way he sort of looked past her when he was talking - like he was looking at the other actors behind the scenes, but because the director didn't say "Cut" they just kept going! I wonder.

Maybe I'll mention that to my son. He liked that movie also.

Maybe I'll just say that for now, all he needs to do is take Baby Steps to get from one minute to the next & just take a deep breath & know that that's all he needs to do.

I liked "The Holiday" too. I didn't notice the drinking though -- I left wanting to throw a dinner party and invite interesting guests. I think it's a great chick flick, and it's entertaining. Check your brain at the door and relax.
