It would appear that days ago, during a drunken depressed haze, I posted on the writing board. Nothing pretty that I really need to have the computer police here find. I can erase my history, but when I visit this site, there in lovely black and white is my name and password. The latter is in **** code of course, but there it is for all the world to see. I don't come here often enough to remember how to get that off. I thought if I just closed the site, it would ask me for the name and password again......but I think I thought wrong.

What about clearing the cookies on the computer you are using?
Maybe your password got saved on the computer via some kind of autofill feature?

I don't wan't the post gone, I just want my login to not be there if someone else stumbled onto this site. Oh well, I have made this damn mistake before. I'll just have to live with it I guess.

When I click on Joan in blue at the top of your post, it's to send you a babblemail.
I see MY name & ****** for my password & I see your posting name, which is "Joan" & 979 or whatever the #'s are - can't remember
So I don't really think you'd be identifiable.
If you don't want anyone to be able to babblemail you & comment, you can "disable" yourself for babblemail.((((((((((((((you)))))))))))))

1st Step:
Scroll down to the bottom of any page for any board, to where you see the list of all the different board names.
Right underneath this, you'll also see some more options, like "Register", "Start new thread,"......about in the middle you'll see the word: "Extras" Click on it.
You'll see a list. Choose "Erase Cookies" - you'll see if you read the description this is designed for people who (ahem...) "share" their computers, and should cause your password to be erased on the login screen.
2nd Step:
If you're finished on Babble for now, just arrow back one screen and this time click on "Log on and off." Type in your name/password in the blanks, and click "Log off"
I'd bookmark (save as a favorite) PB Extras, because you'll want to go there *every* time you get on AND off Babble, and log on and especially remember to log *off.* That should provide you the privacy you seek.

Thanks to all, I will try the "extra" thing.
Guess if I was a more honest person, I wouldn't care if someone saw what I was doing on the internet. Could be worse, I could be like I was several years ago and doing all sorts of bad things.

Well, IMO, *everyone* is entitled to some degree of privacy, somewhere in their lives. We all need that. Doesn't make you dishonest, just a human being with needs. You take care, Joan, and hope you come back to visit and Babble whenever you can.
