How's the water? (Plunging back in…)

Posted by pseudoname on October 2, 2006, at 14:53:23

It's been exactly 2 months since I was last on Babble. I guess I needed a break. I feel a lot different now about it, though still very favorably disposed. Maybe not so addicted (whatever that would mean).

Thanks very much to zazenducky and the others who posted that they missed me while I was gone! That really meant a lot. (http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/psycho/20060911/msgs/686148.html) And thanks to those I won't name who've popped in through Babblemails, too. I really appreciated those.

> I hope you're ok out there.

In fact, I was doing mostly quite okay, up & down, but at a few points super-anxious, suicidal, depressed, and just hunky-dorey. Life for a recovering depressive as usual, I guess, eh? I'll put some updates on Meds & Alternative.

Seems a lot longer than just two months! I truly missed Babble *every* day.

Thanks, Dinah.

I didn't do anything constructive with the extra time on my hands, that's for sure! lol

But I think sometimes breaks can be good. I actually feel changed for my time away. I'm a little surprised to find I'm not quite the same Babbler I was before: a softer pseudoname seems to be here…

And I'm more aware of how much human connection I was getting out of Babble. I want to say, "I love you people!" but is that over the top??

Welcome back!

Nice to see you here. I'm glad you are okay and feeling better. I'm sorry about those ups and downs.

Wow, folks. Six exclamation points and a parade is really sweet to wake up to!

I'm happy to be back among you.

Hi Pseudoname,

Welcome back. The water has been pretty calm and warm for me. Hope as you wade back into babble the water is that way for you, too.

Poet

p.s. I would never have guessed your former posting name of bad haircut. Your hair didn't look badly cut in Toronto. ;)

Hee hee; thanks. Actually, I got lucky with a new barber a couple days before I left for Toronto. But man, my last haircut! She nicked my neck with her electric clippers. OUCH! She felt so bad about it she only charged me $10 (supposed to be $15).

Sigh… Wasn't Toronto great?

The water's a bit too cool 4me currently (mostly IRL), but having a friend back, warms it up a bit.

Not sure we crossed paths, but still want to say 'thank-you for the splash' and the 'hope' it offers!

Hi, Cora. (Is it “Cora”?) I don't think we have crossed paths, but it's nice to meet you. Thanks for welcoming me back.
