A Little History, Posting Name, Country

Posted by Phillipa on June 27, 2005, at 23:25:20

A while back we asked posters where they got their posting name and it was quite interesting. My question is how did you pick your posting name, what is your real first name only [not required] and what country or area of the US are you from. I'll start my posting name is Phillipa. Got it from a book. First name is Jan, live in North Carolina. Now it's your turn. Thanks, this should be fun!

Hi PJ!

Now everyone will know why I call you PJ :-D

I know you already know where I'm from but I'll post anyway to help get the thread going :-)

My real name is Edward but everyone calls me Ed. I much prefer Ed, Edward sounds a bit too formal. Unsurprisingly, ed_uk is from England!

I've been posting since late 2003. I began posting as rainyday since my depression made me feel that way inside, then I "graduated" to partlycloudy when I started to feel better. Now I kind of like seeing my name in the news everday :-)
I'm an Canadian citizen living in Florida.
I don't disclose my real name in public posts.

Texan, born and bred. (and rightly proud of it)

I've already posted this, plus real name and how I got the posting name. Do you remember, or should I repeat it?

My posting name is Norwegian for "clock;" I was trying to learn the language when I signed up, and because I spend most of my sessions with my pdoc watching the clock, it seemed fitting. My first name is Tracy, and I'm from Québec, Canada.

Damos, got it as a kid and it's basically who I am. First name is Damien (originally spelled with 2 A's not sure when or why I changed it), named after Damian Parer who won an Oscar for the WWII documentary Kokoda Frontline. Reside Sydney Australia.

I used to be Shy_Girl because I'm sometimes shy IRL. Now I'm Deneb. I chose it because Deneb is the name of the most intrinsically bright star in our galaxy. It is in the constellation Cygnus the Swan. (I'm into astronomy.)

My real name is jenny...I like it with the little "j".

I was born in California but moved to Ottawa, Ontario Canada when I was 12.
