Update

Posted by Scott in Vermont on September 28, 2004, at 14:46:12

Things are going much better than they were the last time I was here. It was mentioned that it might be a good idea for me to share this here. So, I am.

Without going into too many details about the ups and downs that brought me to this point, I'll say I'm currently enjoying the calm placid waters that previously were raging flood-swollen rapids (see? I'm the same Scott that comes up with a colorful metaphor for absolutely everything).

In other news, my kids are doing great, Catherine and I are beating the odds and are still together, I'm doing very well at my job, and basically I'm getting through each day by remembering that I'm a good man.

I won't be coming back to Babble any time soon. But accept my "hello" and please know that I'm taking care myself, and when I'm not, I'm being taken care of. No matter what, I'm finding my way through this.

Scott, loved your message, very upbeat and realistic. As you must know we care very much for you. What part of Vermont are you from? I am from the southern part. I love Vermont. Are you originally from Vermont?
Jai : )

Hello Jai,

Slightly north of Central Vermont (Montpelier is a 30 minutes east of me, Burlington is about 40 minutes northwest of me).

I was born and raised here.

Do you have mountains in your view?
I love that area.
How are the leaf colors.
our leaves down in the south are turning yellow, orange and red. The light of the sun is golden which enhances all the colors. Nice day!

Mountains everywhere. I live mid-way up one, my back yard is one, I can see more off the front porch way across the valley.

Everything has turned. Summer is a memory around here. The poplar and birches gave up early and exploded yellow, the maples are holding out a bit but most of them have gone greenish red, and for the most part everything around here is orange/red/yellow. Leaves are already swirling around the driveway.

But hey, 6 months from now and it all starts again. Well, 7 1/2 months anyway. Ha.
