Sandy,

are you feeling better this morning?

listen we called the cops because we are concerned about you and we care.

you have a lot on your plate right now and you need help.

your children need a home, you need to find one for them. did you call any of the places i suggested to you?

if you can't do this sandy, please go to the hospital. they will help keep you and your children safe.

sandy i have said this to you before ... i think what you want is for the pain to stop, not for your life to stop. medications CAN help you get it together enough to find a job and a place to live. but first you have to decide to put YOU and your kids first. and accept the help as offered.

i implore you sandy to consider going to the hospital.

i'm sorry you're disappointed in the lack of response here but it's extremely difficult for all of us to help you when you refuse any and all attempts at help from professionals. please consider professional help.

will email and post this message in case you really aren't checking the boards.

It was hard to read those messages from last night. I knew I was messed up, but I didn't realize quite how badly. I'm not sure what half of the comments mean. I wouldn't want those to be the last words I ever said.

I understand about the police. I didn't last night, of course, but I thank you for looking over my shoulder for me. The police had no idea, though. After I finally let them in (they were pounding by the time I opened the door....how embarrassing to look back on), I dimmed the lights and sat down. I only spoke in monosyllables because I knew I wouldn't be able to talk properly. I remember saying my name was Sandra Wepper. That was when I knew I had better shut up. Anyways, they really weren't interested. They really only spent about 2 minutes with me. She made me verbally agree not to do anything to myself after they left. And then the 3 of them walked out. I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd gone to the hospital. I was really messed up.

I don't know what I may have said in Open last night. Please forgive me if I said anything wrong. I could hardly even read what was being typed.

I still can't believe last night. That must have been the closest yet. Now I know.

Again, I'm sorry for causing you any concern. I'm not even sure why I came to Babble last night, but I guess it turned out to be a life saver.

Sandy

Reading those messages from the other night really is a reality check as to what I've been putting you through. It is such a cruel thing to do to you all. I guess I just needed to see the horrible position I've placed you all in. I don't even know what half of those sentences mean, and I can't imagine what I must have been doing in Open. I am so sorry.

I am going to leave you guys in peace now. It's time I left Babble. You have been so wonderful, but it's obvious that I have a real hard time accepting help. I don't know why. Something to do with my always having relied on myself, I guess. To accept help is almost equivalent to admitting yet another defeat. I don't know. But....it's not of your concern now. I just want you to know that everyone has been great. I am so sorry for the disruption in your lives. I understand you have difficulties of your own. I have been using you so cruelly.

I *promise* that I will not post anymore. I can hear the sighs of relief all over Babble-land. *smile* Thanks for putting up with me for so long. I'll think of you. Sorry for being such a jerk. I didn't realize.

Hugs to you all,

Sandy

Sandy -
Don't be ridiculous! You're not causing me any pain. We are all adults and are responsible for what we expose ourselves to or get involved in. Where else can you write the kind of stuff you did the other night and still be totally accepted like you are with all of us?!?!?!? :-) I hope that if I ever got to that point, I could continue posting too.

I am really sorry about your current situation. And that you have a hard time accepting help. I do understand the block you feel inside yourself about it. Can you move it around in your mind that you're doing this for your kids?

Have you been able to make any phone calls to arrange housing? Do you have a case worker who can help you?

Also, can you just flush any and all drugs of any kind that you have in your house?!?!? If you're gonna do this on your own, you've got to take measures to keep yourself safe. Someone wrote you that they think you don't want to end your life . . . just the pain. I understand that - I think we all do! Please flush anything that could hurt you permanently. What if the stuff you take just fries your brain and you become disabled instead of dying?

I still want to hear from you. You have my email and phone number. Do not hesitate to use it, okay?????

Sandy,

I'm sorry you feel that way about accepting help. Can you imagine what the world would be like without people helping one another? Sometimes you give, and sometimes you take -- and sometimes the more you take, the more you are able to give.

It's your decision whether to continue posting on Babble... But it's also everyone else's individual decisions whether to read your (or anyone's) posts. You never forced anyone to read or respond to your posts; we did because we wanted to. And you are always free to change your mind, and always welcome in Open if you ever feel like chatting in "real-time."

dear sandy,

someone told me that the last couple of times that the police were called on you to help you and protect yourself and your kids from yourself was fake!!! is this true.. when the police were called this time this is what they said.. that it was fake and if you keep pulling this you will be facing charges... something to think about.. also what if childrens services find out.. how will you keep your kids? JUST WONDERING.

Trucker - Sandy herself has posted at least once about the police threatening her with misdemeanor charges, so I'm sure she is aware of her situation.

Regardless of all the details, it is clear that Sandy is having a hard time right now. There are two sides to every story...at least!

As far as I'm concerned, this IS a support network, and that's what we are here to do.

SANDY,

I COULD TELL FROM THE OTHER NIGHT AND CONTINUING, THAT YOU ARE REALLY HURTING. I WISH YOU WOULD ACCEPT HELP FROM THOSE WHO CAN HELP YOU. SOMETIMES I THINK PROBLEMS GET TOO BIG FOR BABBLE ALONE. THAT'S WHEN I THINK IT IS SO HELPFUL TO HAVE A PDOC OR A T. WOULD YOU CONSIDER "HIRING" A PROFESSIONAL TO HELP YOU OUT? YOU COULD CONSIDER THEM TO BE A COACH OR A CONSULTANT FOR YOU IN PROBLEM-SOLVING.

REGARDLESS, PLEASE TAKE CARE.

michaelrobert:
Would you mind elaborating on your comment? I am curious to know whether I correctly understand it.

I don't deny that Trucker is trying to be helpful through being realistic. I think Trucker is a wise woman who's faced a lot of demons herself and knows of what she speaks!

I think what you mean is that if a person is buoyed up to a certain point, perhaps by support such as we give here, they won't ever sink low enough to reach out for the help they really need. I divorced my husband because of that very principle, among other reasons. Unfortunately, he still hasn't hit rock bottom in the way that you hope will force someone to seek proper help.

I truly don't know why Sandy won't get the kind of help we all think she needs and that puzzles and disturbs me greatly. We email off of Babble. I don't know her "diagnosis"; I don't know the other circumstances of her situation. But I do know that, whether she is "acting out" to get attention or truly as bad as she sounds, she is legitimately hurting and in a very bad place in her life. Support, encouragement & "email friendship" are what we offer to her. Could this really be impeding her from picking up the phone for help or admitting herself into a psych hospital?

Any suggestions? She's taken herself off of Babble. We'll see what happens. I hope it all turns out for the best, as I hope the same for the rest of us who are struggling with mental illness or because of it.

I think the problem with 2 id's is switching back and forth between 2. I don't think that's happening with trucker and trucker627. I think that's just an id change.

Heck, maybe I'm just just watching too many detective shows. Especially that one on Sunday night with Vincent D'Onofrio...he is so gorgeous! Ok, that cheered me. :-)

I think I'll spend my summer vacation in search of that man. Em

Well, I'm sure there is a logical explanation for Bob's post. Maybe Trucker felt unwelcome in Open under her own name? If that's the case, that's just dang awful. Everyone should feel welcome there. I feel like crud about this. I shoulda minded my own beeswax! (duh...hind sight)

I'm so sorry Trucker, Michael, Sandy, Bob, Simus, LynnDa, JLynn, and everyone else.

I need a vacation.

<<<<<< I think there is a logical explanation for Bob's post, likely involving the 627. That's the name Bob directed his instruction to, he could have directed it to "Michael." But regardless, even if they were all the same person, I agree you shouldn't feel bad about anything Emmy. You've got to know many had strong opinions they would have liked to express, but it wrapped up and passed quickly. And given a choice, people often just prefer not to get involved. And then poof, it was addressed and over.

NOW. About Vince baby. I don't follow any TV series or celebrity stuff, but recently happened upon that show and was also, like, way totally knocked out by him. I thought maybe it was just me -- I should have known better. And ya know whose mannerisms/inflections/eccentricities his remind me of? John Malkovich. That's a good thing.

Anyway, shoo girls (and guys for that matter!). I don't say this often, but I think I want this one. ;- )
