A message from Tina

Posted by Greg on August 7, 2003, at 14:05:59

I talked with her on the phone a few minutes ago. She sounded pretty good, but had some bad news. She has trashed her second computer in the last few weeks and has made the descision that she doesn't want another one. I've been thru bad luck with computers and felt the same way, so I completely understand what she's feeling right now. I've told her that I'm going to put together a computer from my garage full off spare parts (it'll make my wife so sad to see them go, he says sarcastically) and mail it to her as soon as I can. She said she'd just break that one too, but I told her, "so what, it'll be yours to break". She also told me that she's decided not to stay in her house and will be moving in with her Grandmother. Out of all her relatives, she's always spoken with such amazing love and respect for her. If she feels that she must leave her own home, at least I feel safe in the knowledge that she'll be going somewhere that she'll be safe and loved.

We've promised that we'll talk at least once every month, and I asked if it would be OK for me to give you all updates about how she's doing. She said OK. If any of you have any messages you'd like to get to her, either post them here, or you can email me at: gbwhite at comcast dot net. I'm sure she'd love to hear from you.

I'm sure she'll survive this, she's a good woman and an excellent friend. But your good thoughts for her couldn't hurt.

Thanks,
Greg

Thank you Greg.
Please tell her I'll miss her, I really truly will but I'll still think of her when someone
mentions Michael Jackson, or I see that hated commercial on T.V... or when I think no one could be lonlier than me. She'll know what I mean.
(I HOPE)

Please send her all my best and a big hug. I'm so glad she's going to live with her grandmother. She always sounded so much happier when she went to visit her. It should be a balm for her soul. I kept wanting to suggest something of the sort, but wasn't sure how realistic a solution it was. I'm glad it is a realistic solution.

You know nothing could surprise me about that fruit-cake MJ. He's nuttier than all of us put together!
good to see y'all. now and then \i guess I'll get into the library but don't count on me too much. Sometimes I just get too damned annoyed with the public access and stomp out of the place.
missin' ya

I hope you know I'm just teasing with the MJ stuff. I'll never forget that thread, and you saying in your subtle way
"I DON'T CARE WHAT HE DOES!"
Its another thing that makes me think of you and smile every time I see his face somewhere.
