pain

Oh, by the way, I thought that I would mention that I am having some steroid-injection therapy tomorrow into my SI joint in my back. I have had back problems since an auto accident in 4/02. So,as I am having a bit of trepidation about this procedure, I am asking for anyone's "it will be OK Pax" kind of message. Anyone? Anyone?

Pax,

Back problems are really awful. I'm so glad that you have a procedure that will help you feel better. My understanding is that they have been doing these procedures for quite a while, so I'm sure they are very experienced.

Won't it be wonderful to have the pain go away?

Best of luck, I'm sure that you will be fine.

To all:

The *SHOT* was an 8" needle stuck into my back under fluoroscopy. Now "this shouldn't hurt at all" well..............dookie! At LEAST the doc put in a local with the solumedral (sp?). ANYWAY......... I get to be "laid up" for tomorrow, and not go to work (which,in itself is rather therapeutic indeed!). So, by Monday, I should be as right as rain. Thanks to the few of you who proffered me support (I know some others who would have, but they have been blocked for a month or three). I always have appreciated those who have given a kind word here and there. And, again, I say, "thanks!".

Your Pal,

PAX

Oh my - 8 inch needle??

Thank goodness it will help you, though! Enjoy your day off work!

Take care.

Glad that's over! Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

When I was 2 I had Meningitis and they stuck needles in my back. I can still remember when I could remember it (I was 5 when I could remember). Definately trumatic.

Hope you don't need that often!

I still remember the picture of the epidural needle they showed us in Lamaze class. Shudder. But it all went fine.

I'm sure you'll do well, and feel better for having it done.
