I was just over on PBA. Dr. Bob posted "because of what he posted" talking about Cam. Now all this time I thought Cam was a "she." Last night sar asked if I was a "he" or a "she." Now, I am the first to admit that I am a complete and total feminist, lesbianist, sexist. So with the asexual nature of the names on this board, I am realizing that when I don't know the sex of a poster and I like what the poster tends to post, I am assuming the poster is female.

Me I'm very much into guys, so I assume everyone's a guy. When I first started reading your posts I thought you were one, oops. No disregard for our male posters but I do find the "girls" more reliable and supportive, is the correct word empathetic.
What is your guys view on Cam being excised?

Cam cares very deeply about us, his values and his profession and faulting him for that is just sad. He does get a little carried away on occasion but I value his input on any subject. He's one of my very best friends.
His brand of caring is a GOOD thing and shouldn't be "punished"
Just my take on it.
(granted, I'm a Cam fan too!)

I agree that having Cam banned can only hurt the board. He has helped countless numbers of people here. He is a stand-up guy, and is not afraid to speak his mind. I know he was ready to accept the consequences for what he said.
I will be trying to call him this afternoon and will be sure to pass on everyone's kind thoughts.

Hmmm... I had no idea, words were said, people were banned, I don't believe in banning, unless its a situation that involves sheer stupidity (spam posting, threats, etc)... I do believe that nothing was ever solved with a flame war, but I am not inocent of ruthlessly attacking someone who I felt was beyond the pale of inteligence... I am not without that sin...It is a shame, maybe I am partial to Cam because of some connection, maybe the brood will always protect their siblings, maybe its dificult to say who was more wrong in their comments... let just ban everyone for one week... shut the site down... and see how much we all like it.
Unfair? Of course, but how many of are strangers to being wrongly accused... Of being led into an argument only to find ourselves trapped, made to look the wrong dooer when we swore we must be right... And everyone says what they do is right.
Yes, all males are insensitive, the dog breed, sniffing around for a piece of tail, all females are in touch with their feelings, caring, tender, loving, and lastly, all virgos are mad. :)
Cam will be missed for a week. The crime is only a few words when you compare them to the endless caucaphony of drone that is all around us. But of course, I could be wrong.

I just got an e-mail from Cam and he wanted me to let you all know that he is still able to read your posts. He appreciates all the support you are giving him. He says he's going out tonight to the local hardware store to buy some new "buttons", ones that are a lot harder to push...

We had an unwelcome poster over on PBA. CAM and I couldn't resist the bait. Unfortunately, CAM was a bit uncivil in some of his posts (it was hard not to be - I crossed the line myself a couple of times). So, Dr. Bob is giving him a one week break.
