I missed my pdoc appointment

Posted by Deneb on May 8, 2008, at 11:14:08

I overslept. :-(

I don't understand how I could have overslept, because the first day back I must have sleep for close to 12 hours.

I set my alarm for 9 today and it woke me up, but I forgot why I had the alarm set up and I just turned it off, set it to a later time and went back to sleep.

Is my pdoc going to dump me as a patient now?

The receptionist or secretary or whatever called me and said pdoc wanted to make sure I was going to the appointment next week.

Have any of you missed appointments? I think this is like the 4rd time I've missed an appointment.

hi deneb*
wasn't the last missed appt. shortly after the other DC trip?

I'm sure your pdoc won't dump you. She's probably concerned and hopes to see you next week.

(((deneb)))

rotten feeling to miss that, huh?

I missed one, and in fact it led me to quit Paxil because I found I was apathetic about it. If that makes any sense... and if it doesn't, that's still why I discontinued it.

I also missed a therapy appointment once. I slept through it... well, at least up to the point where she called me and the phone woke me up. It was around 2 PM. I was extremely angry with myself.

Yeah, the last time was right after the trip. I get so disoriented after trips that I forget things.

Last time I forgot what day it was. This time I woke up and forgot why I set the alarm.

I hope she isn't angry.

I realized that to the degree it was "working" it seemed that apathy was dulling the negative. It didn't feel "like me" to be so blase about missing the appointment, and as I thought about it that seemed to be true in many other areas (that I just didn't care). It didn't seem like I'd found a happy medium between being excessively upset and completely apathetic.

I then tried Wellbutrin, which was better
