thoughts. triggers.

Posted by Llurpsienoodle on March 17, 2008, at 13:29:41

I have these thoughts of horrible injuries. to myself. either inflicted via automobile injury or butcher knife. They have always been there in the background but recent events and changes in neurotransmitters have brought them to the forefront.

And my dreams are horrifying. That's when the imaginings come true. That terrifying moment on waking when I don't know where I am or who I am. What age am I?

scared.

Ll, is there any way you could ask your doctor to take you off the medication that is making you feel this way?

Wellbutrin was a mixed bag for me while I was on it - it greatly lifted my mood but also contributed to my agitation. Perhaps, since you've just started it, there's an adjustment period that you have to go through with these terrible thoughts and dreams?

Or perhaps it's not a suitable medication if it's making these symptoms so much worse. What's the good of adding one medication if it makes two other symptoms that much worse? I question the therapeutic wisdom, I suppose. Because it's not just the physical symptoms that we deal with by taking these medications; otherwise, why would we take them?

I would be terribly unhappy to be waking up in such a state.

When you wake up call your pdoc! Don't wait until morning. Tell your husband NOW! This is not an option. You must get help.

Llurpsy honey, call your T. Your health and safety and well-being are not worth risking to stick out the side effects of some med. Or go to the hospital. I know I would say no way if I got told that, but it's really the best, safest alternative to calling your T. So go find your T's number, pick up the receiver on the telephone, push the buttons for his number, and leave a message saying you od'd and that you need to talk to him, and if you remember to, tell him your phone number. (Sorry if this sounds patronizing, but when I'm really out of it I need specific directions on how to do things or I freeze and can't remember how).

I don't know if what you took was dangerous or not, but that the fact that you took it, knowing it was more than you should take, is a sign you NEED help right now. Is H there? If he is, can you give him your meds and tell him you need him to keep them for you? Please call your T and try to take care of yourself ll.
