Saw T

Posted by muffled on August 30, 2007, at 9:04:14

Went good.
She laid it all out good.
It feels safer knowing she IS around. Calmer.
But I scared.
I have too many contrasts.
Mebbe i can write more later.
As ever, I am confused.
And its harder to just jump back into trust than I thot.
Or mebbe I am making excuses cuz I don't wanna look inside me.
My T made the comment that I worry bout her dumping me, so I do an end run and try and dump her FIRST.
Sigh.
I think maybe I better get on some meds consistantly. I just HATE them so much.
But 1 hr/wk, just don't cover the sh*t inside.
I'm rotting.
M

I'm glad you went to T, Muffled. I think you are doing good things here.

I'm sorry you're feeling scared and confused right now. Anything I can do to help?

When my son was little I would call to him, "what are you doing?" when it got really quiet. He would usually answer, "nothing." "And you don't need to come and check!" Which meant of course I did.

I suspect when your therapist hears you saying, "I'm fine. Or I don't need you anymore" she probably thinks, "I should check on this." I think that is a really good thing too, because I think some part of you does need her and as you said, she makes you feel safer.

So I'm glad you went to see her, even if you feel confused now. It is OK to need her.

She got to hear my wails about how horrible it was to *need* my T, after she messed up about my session before her vacation. Daisy's one smart cookie -- delicious, too, and NO CALORIES! -- so I'm not surprised she cut through to the core on this.

It's hard, and I am in a state of wanting to run away from my T (and my pdoc) right now, so I feel for you. Make you a deal? You stick it out, give a try to trust just a tiny bit more, and I'll do the same. If it doesn't work out, we can go find adjoining caves, shall we? I've heard you can do wonderful things with wattle and daub...

xoxo
