the ways of the passive-aggressive

Posted by Squiggles on August 28, 2007, at 9:13:35

This is what i'm worried about right now;
that the passive aggressive personality will
push the target person to such a limit, that she will say, i can't take it anymore, i'm leaving; thus absorbing all guilt, much hassle, cost, and legal liability, and leaving the passive-aggressive as clean as a whistle in his conscience, his pocket, and his other personal interests which may be the prime motivator in this aggression in the first place.

Is this a typical scenario of passive-aggressive coping mechanisms?

BTW, i don't believe that people's personalities change when they are in middle age; i think that by mid twenties you more or less have a fully developed personality; exceptions are stroke, sudden onset of mental illness, and drug abuse, and barring other traumas in life.

It's personal ranting, and probably unwise; but
this post is about how a passive aggressive personality may cope with personal conflict. I am trying to understand behaviour of a p/a under stress.
