Anyone ever read 'Suffer the Child?' maybe trigger

I know I shouldn't probably be reading triggery books right now, but it is like not looking when you pass a car accident.

It is about child abuse and DID, and I can't put the book down. It is aweful what some parents do to children. Stuff a lot worse then what happened to me. I am shocked.

I think you are right HF.
I try to stay away from such stuff.
But despite myself, when I saw the link, I clicked it....fortunately there was no info, just a scarey pic. Mebbe links to such are not the best idea? No offense intended as you well know.
Early on in T I stayed far away from books and net research, cuz I wanted nothing 'planted' into my empty head.
I am still careful what I read, or try to be.
I worry terribly for myself about false memories, I don't want that. I want the truth about myself or nothing.
Its hard for me, not knowing such a chunk of my life, but sometimes I figger its for the best. There's possibly reasons, and so if my brain is trying to protect me, who am I to stop it? Let it be.
Try not to dive in too quickly to all this stuff HF. Take it easy, be safe.
Glad your doing OK.
M
PS FWIW, the experiences of any child are very subjective, and response to varying levels of trauma are diff. But IMHO, your uprbringing was horrific. Thats my opinion.
