Did you read my post in the thread that you opened about suicide?
You still have the option of psychosurgery.

Due to my severe mental illness (Severe anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, social phobia, panic disorder, ocd and 12 years of suffering), I am thinking in it for me.

Actually my psychiatrist put me on Anafranil 100mg per day, Xanax xr 6mg per day, Clonazepam 4mg per day, and for sleep 50mg of trazodone with 2 pills of clometiazol. But after three weeks of taking anafranil I am not still kicked in.

If I couldn't suffer more I would begin the protocols to be an adequate patient for psychosurgery in a Hospital of my country (Spain) or in the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Greetings. lukeds.

I needed to get to a place of a decent chemical stew before I felt it was helpful. Prior to that, it just added to my guilt, feelings of failure and lack of control. I don't knock it, I think it can be another tool in the toolbox.

Absolutely...panic attack and agoraphobia free after 30 years using the MAP-3 program.

My oldT used eclectic approach.

When I first started with him, I was in crisis. Severe depression and unrelenting suicidal ideation.

He said we'll just take it easy for a while and then the real work can begin.

So, he let me talk and cry and whine, and sit in uncomfortable silence, and helped me figure out which thoughts were "the big D" and which thoughts were authentic.

We never did any of the strictly regimented CBT work with homework assignments and such. Mainly we tried to figure out the extent to which my distorted thoughts about the world and my psyche were causing me distress. Then we would discuss how to replace the distorted thoughts with more accurate thoughts. It was hard. I resisted, of course.

maybe you need more supportive counselling if you are still adjusting to med changes and in an uncomfortable situation right now.
