OK smarties explain this?

Posted by muffled on November 2, 2006, at 23:49:49

I have penis aversion I,ve decided.
Hows THAT!
Don't think I used to. Never been particularly especially fond of them. Partly I like them. Or I used to. But now I hate them. Mebbe its a menopausal thing?
Its very bizzare to me.
I need to get over this.
Sigh,
What next I wonder.
Sometimes life REALLY sucks in unusual ways.
I just don't understand myself at all.
I am comming to the conclusion that I crazy as a loon.
I am tired of this.
One thing after another.
Waaaaaah.

Freud would argue that you want one, can't have one and therefore need to think you hate them to lessen the envy.

If you let yourself think symbolically, what do penis--es,(OK, what did we decide last night is the plural of penis? Peni?) remind you of that you find repulsive? And how do you think of them? Erect? Shrunken? Angry? Sad?

It might help to remind yourself that a penis has no brain so it can't be dangerous. I think you have an aversion to being forced or hurt. And that is a healthy thing.

Sorry, just wanted to add that. For me it was a trigger, although I'm not sure that could have been anticipated.

*I think we said peni !
Erect ones scare me, they are intrusive and annoying. They are like a weapon. They are demanding. They are pushy.
When they are shrunken, they are not so bad. Just kindof weird.
When they been recently 'used', they are disgusting beyond words.

*I am hurting my husbands feelings. He feels rejected, hurt. But I can't tell him why.
But peni do have minds of their own, I'd almost swear it.
I tell him its cuz he not been around much, so he goto start at the beginning again. He don't understand. I am unwilling or unable to explain it to him.
I gonna have to deal w/this.
T sorta knows, keeps asking, when you guys going away?(we supposed to go away for a coupla days to reconect).
Guess she wants to talk about this stuff. But I get all embarrassed.
Ridiculous.
Me an old married woman w /kids.
Sigh.
Well, there's my old fallback, dissociating, but I not so good at that anymore, and I afriad if I don't dissociate, I will vomit.
Thanks for being so calm and practical Dinah, makes me not feel like such an idiot.

I moved it and I didn't notice anything.

I guess I'm not good at noticing triggers. Everyone seemed ok last night with the topic.

I have had extensive discussions about this with very learned people. Consulted lexicons.

Penis - Penes (acceptable alternative spelling is penises)

The way to remember it is

thesis - theses

but darn, "Penii" is much more fun to say *grin*
