Sorry, just gotta ask and run..(rantish)

Posted by muffled on January 22, 2006, at 14:07:01

I'llbe back.
But, my T has been clear from the start that she not avail weekends. But this weekend I had a fuss a bit and phoned and left message on cell but of course she never phone back. This has never really bothered me b4 but now today it is and I dunno why. My kids around alot right now. Mebbe its her.
Its sorta weird how our T's know so much about us and are there to help us, but at the same time they are most definately NOT. So sometimes I wonder what them hell I doing. I all mixed up. T is stupid. T can't help but when I in office and shy to speak.
I wanto cancel next appt in fit of pique. Mebbe just not show up, and let her wonder. She proly don't give a sh*t anyways really. Just another number in the system.
Sorry, back, and ranting.
Been a hard week with the kid and all.

Hi Muffled,

What does your T expect you and other clients to do if they are in crisis and it's a weekend? Go to the hospital and wait until Monday so you can talk to her?

I fully understand Ts and pdocs need their free time, too, but to never be able to reach a T on a weekend seems rather excessive. I'm glad that mine is reachable weekends and evenings. She always calls back when I leave a message.

I'm sorry your week was so hard, I wish you could hire a babysitter for the kid. Take her off your hands (mind) for awhile and give you a much deserved break.

Your T better call you tomorrow morning or maybe it's time to find a new T that does allow for crisis calls on weekends.

Hi Muffy,
How are you doing today? I have been off the pc for awhile and I just now saw your post. When is your next session? I think it is okay to send your T anything you want as long as it isn't a threat to him or something.
I think it is a good way to express hard feelings sometimes. Take care, sweetie! :)

**basically yes. We supposed to phone our local crisis line(which is often busy).

sorry things are so stressful right now. Can you get a b-sitter? Don't cancel, maybe you could write all your feelings out and give it to her so you can tell her how you feel? esp. if you have trouble talking. Cancelling will just extend your pain and give you more time to think about how upset you are.

Take care of yourself,
fw
