I just am so afraid to go through with it. This is going to take out a big unwanted chunk of time out of therapy tomorrow.

It's no fun, but not having them out can be worse later on. Best of luck to you!

Sorry 'bout that- it's not pleasant of course, but it doesn't have to be TOO bad. I had mine out and survived - just get some good painkillers before you go. Missing therapy sucks :-(

Sorry to hear it. I put off having mine taken out for a long time. I guess I was a little afraid. It wasn't so bad though.
Remember, you don't have to be able to speak to talk to babblers! :) We'll be here for you!
Best,

I will never forget getting my inpacted wisdom teeth out. But I will save that story for after you have your's already out. Be sure to buy some soft foods to eat for a couple of days. I liked mashed potaoes, jello, pudding, and applesause. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it. :-( I had mine out last year (as well as the requisite panic attack right before) and it wasn't exactly fun, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected. I bought some yummy sorbet for the occasion and ate little else for the first two days. Favourite books/movies are great for comfort after the fact (this, of course, depending on whether you get "fun meds" and how alert you would be as a result). Your dentist/surgeon will likely give you postoperative guidelines which can make recovery much easier, things like sleeping with your head elevated. The only thing I can think of which wasn't was brushing your teeth; once the swelling goes down enough for you to do so, the area might still be too tender for usual brushing. I found that BrushUps helped a lot to gently clean, in particular for the back teeth.
Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself.

Hope it goes well

Good luck with it - my wisdom teeth never showed up. My dentist tried to tell me it meant I was evolutionarily advanced - what a joke!
If you're having anticipatory anxiety, tell the dentist/oral surgeon about it; many of them will premedicate their patients with xanax before a procedure.Still dentally challenged,
