I'm feeling totally beaten down

Posted by crushedout on August 8, 2005, at 16:28:05

I'm getting the runaround from my former employer and insurance company. I'm hating my job and my boss is annoying and stupid. I can't get enough sleep because I'm wired at night and then have to get up early in the morning so I feel completely wrecked.

I just can't cope. Do you ever have days when you just can't cope? There are days when I encounter problems and I just go about my way, picking them off one by one, and humming contentedly. And then there are days like this when I just want to throw in the towel and I don't understand how anyone (myself especially) ever figures out how to cope.

I just want to crawl under a rock and never come out. I wish I didn't have this disease. It sucks.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so low.

Yeah, I can relate to that. I spent all day Wednesday in bed. I sleep when I can't cope.

(((((crushed)))))

It truly sucks. I hope you feel better soon.

thanks, t. babbling back and forth with you on relationships has certainly been the highlight of my day. thanks for that.

despite feeling miserable, i'm continuing to do stuff, like post, that keeps me slightly sane and connected to the world. i guess that's progress.

i'm going to try to get to bed early tonight.

Lack of sleep is a big factor in that, I'll bet. :(

I got hit with night time depression halfway through my trip, and I'm positive it was just the sleep disturbances.

I feel that way often.I have decided to simplify my life by filing bankruptcy if necessary, separate from my wife, sell my car, get a bicycle, rent a hole in the wall room and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity or a thrift store and maybe become an activist for human rights.I have a noose already made as plan B if I don't get some relief. What scares me is that I have never been a quitter but I am weary of the fight to be a good person in a sorry world. It seems like the bad guys always win lately.

you're right, Dinah

I think the primary factor is lack of sleep. I'm going to bed early tonight. I promise.

It's easily done! Especially if you're short on sleep!

Yeah, I've been enjoying it too.

Hope you have a good rest tonight.

I got a pretty long night's sleep and am much more functional today, although I still feel depressed. The more I get done, though, the less miserable I feel, and I've been knocking things off my lists.

thanks for your support. y'all have been really good friends lately.
