Grief and Greed what it does to some people

Posted by Happyflower on June 19, 2008, at 13:48:01

I just remember when my grandpa died, they went into his household where his wife lived and took everything so greedily, even a hammer, the day after the funeral. I was so ashamed of their behavior, how rude they treated my grandpa's wife. It is something I will never forget. This women Viola, such a sweet southern bell had such manners and respect, it broke my heart to see her treated so badly. Would letting this old lady (80's) have basic tools of the house, baking pans, really hurt the family? Greed is ugly.

Families fall apart because of greed of what each person gets from the will. It is sad to me.

Oh - I agree completely!

When my grandmother died in 1997, my mother and her sister had control of the estate. Instead of paying for the funeral and burial, my mother allowed my aunt to take "her half" of the money. I do not know if my mother put the other "half" of the money toward funeral expenses or not. All I know is that today - ten years later - my precious Gan-Gan does not have a marker and rests under a blank bit of grass instead. Furthermore, nobody in our family is allowed to be buried there until its paid. So hmm. Wonder who that will end up being?????

Yes - I hate hate hate greedy people. I hate them.
