FAT

Posted by maxime on January 6, 2008, at 22:52:03

I can't stand it! I have gained so much weight since I got out of the hospital. I can't handle it!

Maybe it will get better when I return to work. I can get away with not eating.

I can't stand being inside my body!

Maxime,

I can't stand being inside my body either, but I have no other choice!

You and me both...

I hate myself nearly every time I eat, and have a horrible time about it.

On the other hand, I know I think better now than when I was still able to control my eating...

There's a trade off. Would I rather be able to think, or would I rather be thin? (That's a rhetorical question, because honestly I think I'd rather lose the weight I've gained.)

Dunno what to tell you, because I suspect you already know it...

Hi Maxime,

I can't stand being inside my own body either. Tonight I have water aerobics and I know I will get comments on how faded and worn out my suit is. I have a new one, only I don't think it will fit me since I gained some weight. So into the water I go wearing a suit that is about to fall apart rather than a suit that is too tight.

Argh.

Still feeling HUGE, plus my clothes are tighter.
I can't handle this!

Humph.

Oh, man, can I ever empathize!

First of all, my clothes are too tight. Secondly, my scale says I've put on weight. Thirdly, my T says to get rid of the scale, but that's irrelevant to this discussion...

The constipation from EMSAM is part of the problem, and that's only now starting to clear up. I am hoping it leads to some weight loss. I've also found myself eating humongous amounts of food since stopping EMSAM, so I guess it wasn't really causing weight gain for me...

Whatever it is, I am fat and hideous and I hate it and disgust myself. What's more, my hip is acting up, so exercise is pretty much out of the question.

The only good news is that the Wellbutrin may be doing something already. I think it's partly psychological, or maybe it's just upping my energy a bit. Whatever, maybe things will get better.

I wish I wasn't so lazy and weak and undisciplined, though...
