Can't really read again

Posted by ClearSkies on August 13, 2007, at 8:19:25

I guess this comes and goes depending on what medication I'm on and what stage of depression I'm at. Thank heavens for magazines and glossy adverts. Oh, and the back pages of the newspaper for the comics. It's a good thing I don't review books for a living - can you imagine not being able to do your job, suddenly? But even reading and comprehending a recipe can be difficult when I'm like this. I stick to simple, tried and true dishes that can stand a lot of variation.

I've been buying volumes of short stories for times like this. I have a great one: "Nocturns - short stories", I'll check the official name. And I just finished "Eat, Love, Pray" -- fantastic. Try it, really.

I'm just starting it now - still not quite reading well yet, but I'm pushing myself to do so. I'm loving it so far. Thanks for the recommendation!
