How To See Yourself As You Really Are

Posted by Quintal on May 1, 2007, at 21:20:56

I've just ordered "How To See Yourself As You Really Are" by his holiness the Dalai Lama. Haven't actually read it yet, so this is a little premature? Anyway it looks very interesting, but maybe a little scary. What if I don't like the way I really am? What then? Is there anything you can do to change it? Well, I suppose all the answers to that will be contained therein. Just curious if anyone else has read it or any of his other books?

Hello Quintal

I have read a little of"Advice on Death and Dying" and found it lovely.

Is the you that would perceive you part of the you you would perceive?

I mean....people are always perceiving themselves in painful ways, and other people seek to reassure them and relieve them of division, but if you perceive yourself as awful, is that awful to so do?

Not that I want to run up a blame tally, I hasten to say.
