Sublingual absorption of fat soluble drugs/supps

Posted by MightyKondrian on December 11, 2017, at 23:59:16

I've posted this here and the med board. It kinda applies to both.

Basically, if you take a fat soluble drug or supplement will it still get absorbed faster than swallowing?
I'm actually talking about the noot aniracetam. Its fat soluble but some say to take it sublingual. The med board or Alt board could help answer this, esp here as so many supps can be absorbed 'under the tongue'

Talking of absorption what about swallowing a water soluble med/supp on a full gut containing fat? Seems this would work as most food contains some fat plus water soluble and fat soluble nutrients.
