Magnesium L-Threonate Metabolism

Posted by Prefect on November 21, 2016, at 19:06:32

I've got a really dumb question:

How fast is Magnesium L-Threonate metabolism (or similar Mg compounds) in the body you think? I took some with a meal today and was immediately agitated, almost as bad as I get on cannabis, which subsided after 2 hours. It couldn't possibly be the supplement right? It's got to be just standard anxiety!

I wonder how long it takes for Mg from a supplement like this to hit your brain. I'm testing it to see if it would reduce my anxiety.

You mean you started to feel agitated within seconds of taking it? Minutes? When I take magnesium l-threonate, it takes a few hours before I feel its effects. Maybe the agitation you felt was coincidental.

Yeah you're right. Last coupe of days no agitation. Likely coincidence. What effects do you feel after a few hours? I'm new to this supplement.

It has a calming effect on me. Here's a good article about it:
