Posted by mako23 on October 16, 2016, at 2:38:25

I would like to know how many people in this forum have taken a interest in Glia cells in the brain. I have recently taken an interest in this subject and have been shocked on how many psychiatric disorder could be related to glia cells.

Its a big subject but a lot of fascinating amount of work has been recently been done in this area. For those forum readers interested in biochemistry in the brain you will find it interesting.

A few years ago I read a book about glia called The Other Brain. The book's subtitle says it all -- The Scientific and Medical Breakthroughs That Will Heal Our Brains and Revolutionize Our Health

Just recently NTRX-07 a CB2 agonist on microglia has had encouraging results in reversing Alzheimer in patients.

Also Anandamide a natural CB2 agonist also has show some value as a possible antidepressant or treatment for anxiety

From what I understand, Albert Einstein's brain contains an unsually high number of glial cells. Glial cells do more than simply maintain the health of neurons. They are able to communicate and form networks.

It is possible to take proline to improve the connection between neurons and glia cells.

I take it. How much it helps i dont know. Im on a cocktail of supplements. You can see the list in my "bloot test" thread. Nevermind the misspelling.
