> I have been Bi-Polar for about 6 years. I had been on Lithium for a while combo'd with Effexor. Before my Dr diagnosed Bipolar, I had been taking all the regular SSRI's. About 9 or 10 of them along with anti-anxiety drugs. If anything helped it was for a short time only. Since I have been on EMpower Plus, I have stopped all perscriptions and at this point I feel better than I ever did with any prescriptions. I feel like I am about 60% or so to where I would like to be. It's not an immediate change like I would experience with the antidepressants before they would fizzle out, but I have slowly been feeling more normal in the last 2 months. Based off what I have seen so far, I would recommend this stuff to anyone with Bi-Polar, Depression, Anxiety, etc...I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I've taken it off and on for over a year to treat bipolar. I had some difficulty with shipments about 2 months ago and read they had some problems with Canadian officials. Personally, I did cut my klonopin usage from 6mg/day to 2mg/day-I honestly don't know if that was a result of the supplement or less stress in my life. I still have significant mood instability, but my panic disorder seems to be under better control. I'm glad you are doing so well- did you work with your psychiatrist with this? take care, judy

Searching for EMPower I found another name with the same product, Equilib. It has the same label logo too! The page was copyrighted 2001 so I am assuming that Synergy just reorganized into this Evince company and renamed EMPower to Equilib. Same stuff in it, and US price $38.95. I am looking at the pros and cons for possible trial by my bipolar 18-year-old daughter. Wish me luck.

What do you think of empower plus for an 8 year old with anxiety/ stress/possible ADHD? I am worried about his young age and the relative lack of information about this product from participants.

I would definately try to find a Holistic Family Medicine Doctor first. I have one in the DFW area that is trying to move me from pdoc prescribed medicines to more natural approaches.

KDi in TX

My 8 year old son has been taking EMpower plus for one weed and woke this morning with a rash under his arms. He is on 18 capsules/day. COuld this be as a result of EMP?

My husband sent me a link to this thread, so I thought I'd post to see if anyone is currently trying this product... or if any of you previous posters have had good results over time.

The advertising for EmPower makes me a little skeptical (a friend said it made him think of game show hosts and info-mercials), but I have a dear friend whose granddaughter has apparently been greatly helped with her ADHD. I am looking for help with bipolar II (long-time condition) and recently diagnosed ADD. I am currently using the EmSam patch 9 mg (what is it with the Em- products??) and Lamictal. I plan to go off the EmSam in a few weeks because it seems to having no effect on my depression and mood swings.

Thanks for any help you can offer!
Miriamne
