Social anxiety, no. Motivation, yes. DLPA has been a major help to me.

I've also tried soy protein powder rich in L-phenylaline and L-tyrosine and that worked too.

Where do you buy such supplements? Are they sold in local drug stores? They don't require prescription, do they?

I've been using once a day (morning) Tonalin Dl-phenylalanine for two months. 500 mg. It seems to helps with energy in the morning, but I'm never sure. While taking Strattera at night and the Dl-phenylalanine in the morning, it bumped my 12-hours-old Strattera level way up for an hour and a half–unless it was the Folic mix or the Cla or the E or Zinc or C or Iron or all combined that did it. Other than that one and a half hours, I didn't get any real benefit from Strattera when taking it at night. On the other hand, when I went back to taking Strattera in the morning, and then tried the 500 mg of Dl-phenylalanine in the evening, I never got an evening Strattera bump. That's the only supplement I tried in the evening. I just ordered 1000 mg tablets and may try them twice a day after seeing if the larger dose is noticable.

Maybe you could see if you could take smaller doses of Strattera bid and DLPA bid.

Thanks for the idea. I tried that. Smaller doses hardly worked at all. The 60 mg by itself wasn't enough to do anything. I don't understand why I am so different from everyone else, but this drug doesn't work 24 hours a day for me at all. It takes two hours to kick in each morning. and works about eight hours, at most. Some days, for whatever reason, it works into the evening. That seems to be when I don't eat much.

Try a GNC or a health foods store. They are OTC.
