the words for those things cheerleaders shake? The things they hold in their hands? The things with long paper streamers?

Oh drat. I don't want to be vulgar by saying their name.

Oh heck, put me on the Yes list. I'm sure at least one thing will work out. And I am thinking Friday could indeed be it. Nah, you kids aren't scary. I have only held out because for some strange reason I can barely commit to even my fa-vo-rite activities in the whole world if it's firm and in advance (boy, would my friends and family back that up! I'm surprised they still are my friends and family). Get anxious after I do, NOT about possibly not wanting to go but because I spontaneously and unexpectedly wake up feeling physically crummy not infrequently.

Ok, enough of that, let's par-TAY. Keep in mind, though not many here have had the indescribable pleasure of experiencing it, despite my compulsion to post reams of dry data at times I AM a hoot. Well, I ain't anything conjured by "spoc," anyway. ;-)

Speaking of names Dinah, at least you have a normal human one for people to call you by during the party! But I do enjoy the thought of these other names being yelled out to get each other's attention in loud public places.

NO ONE TALK TO ALLDONE DURING DINNER, or you will have your plate taken away while you're still eating!!!!

I'm in!

I'll be driving in Friday after working in the morning, so I'll try my best to not get lost or get stuck in too much traffic in order to make it to the restaraunt.

Spoc

So I've invited the above to join that list.

But maybe you all are just doing this by babblemail? Are you going to make sure people who come are who they say they are, or is that something I should do?

Bob

Dr. Bob,

Does this mean I'm waiting for another babblemail? If so, I haven't received anything, yet.

Thanks,
Laurie

No doubt, you are a hoot, Spoc! :)

Looking forward to meeting you. Any friend of kk's...hmm...wish we could get her to come up here for this.

Oh dear. I fear I may lose my PBC virginity. At least I'll be able to say I lost it in person ;).

And speaking of the offending words, for several reasons, there will be no f*rting!!! Got it, gg?

You didn't answer if you were anxious. Is that none of our business?

So that makes those who have posted that they are definitely coming:

Dr. Bob
Partly Cloudy
Poet
Dinah
Fallsfall
Auntie Mel
Annierose
All Done
Toph
Rainbowbrite
Spoc
Gardnergirl

And possibly coming: (fingers, toes, and eyes crossed)

Happyflower

Sorry about the repetition of this post, but I seem to have unofficially started keeping the head count, and this is the easiest way for me to keep track.

Yeah, hey, what gives! Get that woman on the horn! Doesn't her new man even have a bike (hopefully that was "motorbike," but either way, no excuses! They're young and strong, they can pedal here! And if I remember right she has a beast of a car too)? I can see it now, kicking up the dust as she and her true love motor out of the Indiana corn fields on a Harley bound for Chi Town; a long scarf draped over her hair and trailing off into the wind behind her; big black movie star sunglasses; elbow-length silk gloves and a red dress; cigarette holder and champagne glass in hand (well ok, half-empty bottle of gin)...

Dr. Bob -

I gave everyone the same "family" name to use for our reservation. So I think that will help with us finding each other AND keeping those away who do not know the name. But any other measures you want to add are okay by me.

Personally, I feel quite safe in such a public place.

eyed monster :-( I wish I could go and meet y'all. It sounds like it is going to be a really nice weekend. Maybe if something takes place next year, and I am still around Babble, I will be able to go (especially if it takes place in Toronto).

Hope everyone has a good time. Have fun!!!!!

I don't think it's wise to reply via the web the answers to your questions. I did give you the phone number and address to the restaurant. I'm sure they would be in the best position to help you out.

Good Luck! Hopefully it will be a beautiful evening for a short walk from where you exit the train.
