Working among the healthy is hard

Posted by Lamdage22 on March 23, 2022, at 9:08:35

So I started to support a local food bank with my time and I am so strung out after the shift. I can barely drive home. For those of you who work, how do you cope? Surely it is harder for you than healthy coworkers? Got alot of anxiety going on there of failing to keep up.

Fortunately, I'm able to work from home. Back when I did have to work around people, I found it difficult to force myself to be sociable when I didn't feel like talking to anyone. When co-workers would be standing around in a group, chatting, I would rarely join them. This caused them to consider me standoffish. I sometimes wish that I'd made more of an effort, but that would have drained my energy.

When you're at work, or at home, there's a 15-second exercise you could try doing two or three times an hour. It might help to alleviate your anxiety. It's been studied at the Technical University of Munich.
