caplyta?

I'm....well, not magnetically drawn to this very new major sedative...

but mildly interested, I suppose? I think its the rather benign EPS profile that's got me wondering...

that and the once daily dosing. Plus, I just read a review from 2015 or so on NMS, and Abilify was singled out as a "risk factor" (no, really). For whatever reason(s), Abilify is almost in Haldol-territory when it comes to NMS cases.

-disconcerting- to say the least. And...I do have concerns that -maybe- the aripiprazole is adding its own layer of "symptoms" to my affliction. I am lucid, calmer, etc., but I sometimes get a sense of unease, and this sort of unease has a sort of...chemically-induced feel to it, if that makes sense.

oh well. I am also just...curious, in general. Have you all seen the TV ads for the new TD-suppressing prescription drugs? I find it kind of frightening that those ads are running right at the same time that the newest round of "atypical" tranquilizers are being pushed on us, too. Oh well. It is what it is...

"Major sedative"? According to Wikipedia, lumateperone is not an antihistamine and has no GABAergic properties either.

Yes, there are other targets a drug could work on to produce sedative effects, including dopamine, but lumateperone is not a very potent dopamine antagonist either, and even haloperidol is not among the more sedating neuroleptics.
