butabarbital

i was researching barbiturates for anxiety, today they are ancient history, all the 60s-70s doctors that prescribed them are long gone.

But i did research, the only 2 i found that were used for day time sedatives, were butabarbital and phenobarbital, and phenobarbital was the most common prescribed before benzodiazpines, and meprobamate. Like alrazolam todday, back then phenobarbital was a main choice. And i did some studies, i don't why people say they want to move to pheno, its not recreational too much, it lasts 12 hours and your sedated but not euphoric way, i read people experiences say they disappointed in the effects of it, because it was a barbiturate. It makes you sleepy, and general calm. They were known as purple hearts, goof balls, and phennies on the street long ago.

Anyways, today i think pharmacies have to have written explantion why a barbiturate needs to be used

But butabarbital - its a C-3 less abusive, it shorter time than phenobabrital. I saw an ad of woman calm, said 'day time sedative for nervous tension'

never be prescribed it, but i was writing about it, that those 2 were common anxiety meds used before introduction of benzodiapines.

also methyl-phenobarbital [Mebral] was a day time sedative, very popular back in the 1920s-1940s. Phenobarbital, butabarbital, methylphenobarbital were known choices for anxiety back then. Amobarbital is a intermidate action, but i read....in world war 2, there were soldiers that were something called 'shell shock' which is truma of being on battle field. They adminstered amobarbital to soldiers for anxiety and sleep, they said it greatly reeduxed their performace, even if used as a sleep med. This web article that i read on a written account of a nurse in the stations, even with amobarbital the amount truma on their faces while asleep was bad. Shell shock. Amobabital is known as truth serum, they used it psychiatric sessions and investigations to get someone to tell the truth, but then found out something called 'false memories' which had nothing to do with truth. Read preferences for amobarbital for anxiety were less preferred due to downer effect, being called blue heavans, as in drunk heavan.... also made you tell the truth, not sure how truth serum works but it depresses lying, or some section in the brain.
