Has anyone heard about a Nardil/Phenelzine manufacturing shortage? I can't find anything online (FDA, Pfizer, etc.)
Thanks!

Sorry to hijack your thread. When I try to start a new thread, the link doesn't work. If anyone can move this to a new thread, I would appreciated it.
Anyway. My ex-husband told me his sister is severely and suicidally depressed. She is 67 and has been struggling with depression for the last two years. She was recently hospitalized and put on Remeron. He asked me what I knew about it and my answer was - really nothing except I've heard (here) that the combination of remeron and effexor is often very helpful. So can anyone tell me if remeron is effective?
Thanks.

Yes. For some types of depression, Remeron can be very effective. It tends to work in depression with high anxiety, loss of appetite etc. Remeron can act faster than some other, possibly because of its rapid effects on sleep.
If the depression is mixed with psychomotor retardation or cognitive slowing, then adding something like Effexor might help.

Remeron worked quickly for me as an add-on. I was eating the next day. I can't recall how much I was given.

can't find the thread). IIRC it was to stop being available in the UK or something crazy like that, I was pretty appalled. Don't quote me on that though - my memory is legendarily bad.
This is the end of the thread.
