I'm looking for a combo with Mianserin (remeron sister), but wellbutrin inhibits the cyp2d6 - the enzyme responsible for mianserins metabolism = problems.
So rebox might be a good option

roboxetine, it directly a norephriphrine reptake inhibitor, bupropion does but it also has some dopamine, but it's not really like methyphednidate, it's much lower in dopamine reptake.....
wellbutrin i remember was like a cup of coffee in the morning, it's not like stimulants, there was no major effect, it just kinda gives you awake in the morning, but it also is known to cause bad anxiety in some people.....
reboxetine is just plain norepinephrine, it would increase it with more alertness and attentiveness

> Which one implicates noradrenaline more profoundly??Reboxetine is a very selective NE reuptake inhibitor. However, Wellbutrin is a better antidepressant. Desipramine is a better choice for NE if you are looking for an antidepressant or something that helps with ADHD.
What are your reasons for wanting a pro-NE drug?

Quite simply, NE is the only NT I've responded to.
There's not a lot of data on Wellbutrin in regards to it's actual noradrenaline affect.
I've been on it before with remeron, but now that I'm on Mianserin as an adjunct, I'm curious as to whether its effect could differ.
On that note - atomoxetine - for energy, how would it compare with rebox?
I'm taking a pure NRI cause, mainly energy.
Almost exclusively energy, actually.

Reboxetine is more selective to the NE transporter. Even in therapeutic doses, Wellbutrin only inhibits ~20-30% of the NE and DA reuptake pumps.
I agree with SLS though, Wellbutrin is a much more proven antidepressant. Reboxetine didn't get approval in many countries for lack of efficacy.
Straterra also didn't make it as an antidepressant. I would say that it isn't great for energy either. I did uses it for ADD but, the side effects were harder on me than the stimulants.

What kind of side effects did you experience on STrattera?
Fatigue?
Did you have to dose it multiple times per day, or just once?I know rebox failed many clinical trials but - for me, thus far, it's been the most powerful AD.
I never responded so SSRI's, and only marginal response to 20 mg Ritalyn with remeron.specific NRI's, are what I respond to.
I found wellbutrin not bad at the initial stages when I took it with remeron - but it's effect waned pretty drastically.
Except - I slept great on it. Relieved insomnia very well.

I guess you won't know unless you try.
For me straterra increased feelings of sadness, as well as increasing my heart rate to an uncomfortable degree.
Although straterra is an NRI, it has some (mood negative) effects on opiate receptors which can cause dysphoria.

The heart rate comment concerns me.
Papers suggest its effect in this sense is almost identical to reboxetine however - and i didn't have any problem with that.
Still though - it concerns me.
