I know this is over the recommended dose of wellbutrin and its dangerous etc . But I am wondering for those who take 600mg, did it feel different from say 450mg or 300mg?

this is coincidence but yes i have taken 600mg of Wellbutrin, but it was a long time ago, it was the Wellbutrin XL form in 2004, it made me more awake but also it made me very edgy and somewhat irritable, if you read bupropion causes seizures at higher doses, when i took 600mg, it was the XL so i would be getting 200mg of bupropion every 6 hours, it made feel kinda just weird, bupropion induced anxiety..,it felt defeintly like it was working, it did have anti-depressant effect, but just increased anxiety... they used to use at those doses when it came out, but they reduced the maximum to 450 to prevent seizure activity. 450 just made me alert, and a bit more motivated or interested in doing a task that was boring to me....it helps you keep interested in things, hobbies, and stuff

300mg was just standard dose for me, i would wake up and take and go to class, i would be slightly more enhanced to do work, its like a cup of coffee....but higher doses of bupropion are not good, seizure threshold decreases significantly, anxiety and that feeling before you have a seizure, dissociated, is what Wellbutrin is like at higher doses above 600mg. I also rerember i could not take naps on wellbutrin, it would keep me awake, i could not sleep during the day at 450mg. It works wonders for low moods with low energy

rjlockhart37 is right about the seizure threshold. But here in the UK, unless written off label its only licensed for smoking cessation therapy and its always prolonged release. So that helps.
Personally I take 300 at night(!) and 150 in the evening. This help me wake up refreshed. As for the seizure threshold I take clonazepam. Most benzos have an anti-convulsive action. They also can all be used to come off alcohol too. Symptoms of which included tremors and seizures & delirium (DTs).
