my Corepharma is no longer in production. i have gone down fast and not having luck with replacement.
Adderall tended to help me with depression, concentration/focus, memory, and energy level that allowed me to function like a normal human being.i cry every morning, and in the afternoon....and again in evening. i think to get something, get up out off a chair (or floor) and forget... i eventually remember but i have to work and jog what i was thinking about.
i dont want to be around people. i want to ask for help...shout. but i feel i have no one.
pdoc is currently looking for solution but haven't heard anything. no point in asking T as she wont be able to fit me in this week and she cant do anything anyway.i'm not suicidal...i dont want to be. but i'm showing signs of ocd -obsessing on those that i have lost from suicide..and their methods. i do creative writing and anything i've written is so f-ing depressing no one would want to hear it...and that's if i can even when i can write. mostly i open my laptop and obsess over a couple songs that i have to hear again and again and again and again....
here is a list of the Adderall generics i've tried that didnt work (most of them i got TERRIBLE headaches-like waking in the night in pain bad- nausea to nth degree, and mostly none of them worked despite the bad side effects.
i know Adderall is some type of dopamine agonist? -i think...i cant even remember that... but i remember thinking that was why i thought it worked when ritalin and others didn't.
PLEASE I'm BEGGING ALL OF YOU, if you have been on corepharma mfg generic of adderall and know of another mfg similar (or ANY other medication simiar effects) please throw them out so i can suggest to pdoc.
I've tried the following mfg of generic adderall:
Corepharma(my life saver for the last 8 years);
Teva
Barr
Sandoz
AuroBindo
SUN
Mallinckrodtthe rest the insurance company mentioned they have access to are the following:
Mylan
PD-rx
Ranbaxy

also started Trintellix.... may be making me worse?? or my present state is entirely due to lack of my CorePharma's...

the cheaspest thing i can recomend is dexedrine, it's dextroamphetamine, adderall is a mixture of amphetamine and dextroamphetmaine, there's two isomers on amphetamine, one is the dextro form, which more potent in psychological improvement and stimulant, the other is levo-amphetamine, which seems to be more of a kicker for norepinephrine and giving it more of a kick, but it's not very psychoactive, it just gives a kick to dextro, they seperated them i think back in the late 40ss, and that's where they came out with dexedrine
there's is regular amphetamine which under the name Evekeo, it's plain amphetamine, but if you want direct dextro, go with dexedrine, it's not expensive from what i know, in generic form, there's of course vyvanse which i don't like it, it took 2 hours to take effect and crash was long long made me more miserable because it slowly wore off.....

You should taper your adderall. Not something you should quit cold turkey!

This doesnt sound so good. It is unfortunate that you are trying brintellix. Now you dont know if its the lack of your adderall or if its the Brintellix that is making you feel bad.

sorry all, ive been down for the count. thank you all very much for responses.
1. The Trintellix was making my depression 10x worse, so i'm off that now.
i have never actually been on the brand Adderall but here are the Generics that have Not worked for me (either side effects or just didnt work).
Teva, Barr, Sandoz, AuroBindo, SUN, Mallinckrodt and no Mylan.CorePharma seems to be the only one that worked for me. i heard that Randbaxy was similar, however they have been bought out by SUN, which i recently re-tried and no go (HORRIBLE headaches).
In terms of 'stimulants' i've also been on:
Strattera (diet drug nothing else)
Ritalin (not much on focus and terrible onset/offset)
Dexedrine ER (barr mfg)
Vyvanse (Sent my depression into a major storm)
and Desoxyn (mylan mfg-but was on low dose so not sure if its comparible to what i was used to?)

one note is that i have been using adderall (CorePharma) more as an antidepressant i think. When on it, i have energy to get on throughout the day (not excessive by any means), i can focus beautifully, and my mood is pretty stable. (give or take a few times).So it maybe that If in fact this CorePharma brand adderall is acting more as an antidepressant, maybe there is something else that is actually used for something else that will give me similar relief?
Beckett2 you mentioned Nuvigil? what is that labeled for?

hi. adderall and other amphetamines can help lift your mood, combat fatigue and lethargy, etc., so in that sense, they are fast acting "antidepressants."
if you're on a good bit of adderall, maybe ask about a switch back to Desoxyn? Back in the day, when amphetamines were the 'it' drug for depression, desoxyn was somewhat popular because its so much more potent than other amphetamines. that means lower doses and a reduction in some adverse effects.
if not that, then maybe some kind of all day dexedrine? im not a doctor, but i think they have some way of determining rough dosage equivalents, to make sure you're getting enough when and if the psychiatrist makes a switch.
there's a newer amphetamine out, evekeo. I think it might be rebranded biphetamine or benzedrine. anyway, that product contains the whole amphetamine molecule, just in a different % than adderall. maybe that'd be worth a try, if your insurance will cover it and your doctor gives to the thumbs up? right now, i think its only available as a brand name drug, so you wouldn't have to worry about getting a substandard generic, if it worked for you.

i meet with pdoc in a couple weeks and i wrote down the info and will present it to him. Thank you so very much.
i did give dexedrine a try but it is just not the same as the corepharma, its not really helping cognition/attention at all.
plus i've been having 'crying fits' though not sure if it is Because of med or because its not working...anyway. at least i have something else to try.

yes. i spiraled fast and hard on it.
i'm on dexedrine (much higher dose this time around) but not working right. (physical energy and hyperfocusing with uncontrolled target), still teary, i crash and right now depression is overtaking me.have a call in to pdoc and hoping to try zenzedi before making some awful major med change.
