i've been on ativan many years ago....2mg X 3 daily.....but it was mainly because i had panic attacks in high school around people, thats why the dose was modereate....
but i've read on the wikipedia.....it's saying it's a "high potency" benzodiapine....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorazepamim not trying to be sarcastic, but i always Xanax was the main one for depedence and abuse, it has a short half life and does give a better mood feeling than ativan, ativan just kinda sedates you, relaxed, laid back, calm.....xanax kinda increases the mood and relives anxiety.....
my old pdoc said lorazepam was more dependece causing than xanax.....why?? it doesnt really give a high like xanax does......just a sedation relax feeling
????
and for clonazepam, thats the most widely used benzo today.....but it made me depressed....i took 2mg and it made just ughhhh....low mood, low anxiety, low energy, but thats for me....it does work vary well for panic attacks.....

While Xanax has the reputation, all benzos have abuse potential.
by 'high potency' I think they just mean the low dosages used (i.e. 0.5 mg of lorazepam = 20 mg of temazepam).

valium was better than Nembutal...until it got a bad rep. Then on to Xanax. Xanax got a bad rep. Onto Klonopin and a little retro with Ativan. Now both of those pills are getting a bad rep.

2mgX3 is a moderate dose?
